Because of its strategic location, Kangeyam is well connected by roads to many major towns and cities in Tamil Nadu like Coimbatore, Tirupur, Tiruchy, Erode, Palani, Dharapuram, Tanjore, Karur, Dindigul, Madurai, Chennai, Ooty, Theni, Madurai and Kodaikanal.
Kangeyam is located on NH-67, which is a major commercial route running through Nagapattinam-Tiruchy-Karur-Coimbatore-Mettupalayam-Ooty-Gudalur. A State Highway running through Kangeyam connects Erode and Palani. There are two bus terminus’s in Kangeyam abutting each other- one for mofussil buses which connect the surrounding villages with Kangeyam, and the other for service buses which connect Kangeyam with other parts of Tamil Nadu. The roads around Kangeyam are one of the busiest in Tamil Nadu. Such heavy commercial traffic passes through it that Kangeyam has been forced to install traffic signals to regulate the traffic
Kangeyam TNSTC Depot
TNSTC Tirupur Region having a Depot in Kangeyam which is formed by Jeeva Transport Corporation (JTC). After formation of Tirupur, This depot was moved to Tirupur Region. This Depot is one of the remote depot for Tirupur City and serving many city and Mofussil buses for Tirupur as well as near by Chennimalai and Vellakovil Towns.

Private domination in this area is very very minimum. so, TNSTC is the only choice for Kangeyam Surrounding Village areas. Kangeyam Surroundings are famous for Hindu Temples (Paranchervali, Pappini, Madavilagam, Chennimalai, Sivanmalai Etc..) But, most of the city buses here are old ones except the Prime Routes #16 and #C5
