Buses back on roads.!!

Since the money which has to be stated to the TNSTC Employees, officials and pensioners was not provided, they were held up in strike since Sunday night.And after the long run of the strike, Tamil Nadu government at the end of nearly seven hours of long talks held in two rounds, Minister KA Sengottaiyan, P Thangamani and MR Vijayabhaskar and representatives of 11 workers unions signed an agreement.

Incorporation and Bifurcation

The Pandiyan Roadways Corporation Ltd. ( presently Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation ( Madurai) Ltd, Madurai Region), came into existence from 17.01.1972 on account of nationalization of buses of the private operators as per the 1971 Act. The fleet of 346 buses along with the Depots and workmen were taken from M/s Southern Roadways Private Ltd, Madurai.

When the fleet strength was 1249, the Corporation was bifurcated as per G.O MS No.100 dated 29.04.1997 and the new Corporation commenced its operation in the name of

M/s Veeran Sundaralingam Transport Corporation Ltd. (presently TNSTC ( Madurai) Ltd, Virudhunagar Region), having its Head Quarters at Virudhunagar with 352 buses with effect from 01.05.97.

Nellai Registered Buses in Dindigul Region

Transferred buses from Tirunelveli Region

TNSTC-Madurai Dindigul region having many Tirunelveli region registered buses (TN 72 N) in their Fleet. During 2007-08, 2010 these transfers are happen when Tirunelveli is under control by TNSTC-Madurai. Dindigul region gave TN 57 N registered buses as a compensation to Nellai. Atlast, TNSTC-Madurai Dindigul region also in Chennai route now with Super Deluxe Buses aprt from Kumbakonam and Villupuram Division’s. Dindigul region added 7 New SD Buses recently. Palani-Villupuram and Palani-Neyveli TS getting Super deluxe services. Now, Palani-Neyveli TS Super deluxe service withdrawn and moved to Dindigul-Chennai Route. TNSTC-Madurai Region Started Operating Friday Weekend Service from Hosur to Sivagangai Via Salem, Madurai. to Competite with TNSTC-Salem Hosur-Madurai, TNSTC-Madurai region enters this service. Good initiative done by the Management.

This service Operating Pattern is Usilampatti-Madurai-Salem-Hosur-Madurai-Sivagangai-Usilampatti in Friday rest of the Days it will stops at Salem Itself. Details are collected by Crews. Soon this became regular in this route. Continue reading

TNSTC-Madurai Dindigul region introduced 7 New Super Deluxe Buses in 08-February-2016 Inaugural. Early Dindigul region having SD’s in TN 57 N 20xx later transferred to SETC because of 300+kms rule.
